We want your input on inputs!

Share your input on inputs, and win!

Until June 24, share your experiences with input approval for a chance to win one of six sessions with an organic consultant.

The Organic Council of Ontario and the Organics Value Chain Roundtable are studying a national list of inputs approved for organic operations. Let us know how a national input would serve you as an organic producer, processor or input manufacturer with this 10 minute survey.

ABOUT THIS PROJECT:

OCO is studying the input approval process in the Canadian organics sector on behalf of the Organics Value Chain Roundtable Taskforce on Inputs. The results of this survey and our online consultations will contribute to a report on the feasibility of creating a national database that is sustainable and comprehensive. Recommendations will be shared with the OVCRT and CFIA.Technical issues? Contact amy@organiccouncil.ca for a printable pdf of this survey.

Share your input on inputs, May 1 - 9, 2019

Access to clear information about approved organic inputs limits the growth of the organic sector in Canada.

OCO invites input suppliers, organic producers/operators, and industry consultants (agronomists, veterinarians, organic consultants etc.) to tell us how Canada’s current system of input review affects your work. Online consultations will be held May 1 - 9, 2019, featuring:

  • A brief overview of the current input approval system in Canada, and the key issues limiting sector growth
  • An opportunity to share your experiences and thoughts on input approval in Ontario and Canada

OCO is conducting these consultations on behalf of the Organics Value Chain Roundtable Taskforce on Inputs.  The results will contribute to a report on the feasibility of creating a national database that is sustainable and comprehensive. Recommendations will be shared with the OVCRT and CFIA
