OCO looks to fill Ontario Organic data gap
The Agricultural Adaptation Council shared information today on funding OCO was recently awarded to help understand where data collection and reporting on Ontario’s organic sector could be improved, and develop methods by which to do so.
As our Executive Director Carolyn Young explains, “Most of the ways information on livestock and crop production is collected in the agri-food sector lacks an organic filter and tracking of organic information specifically.”
To fill that information gap, OCO will receive funding from the Canadian Agricultural Partnership to develop an Ontario organic data strategy that will be sustainable long-term.
