OCO’s Statement on Mexican-Canadian Equivalencies for the Tri-Ag National Accord

Tri-National Agricultural Accord - Niagara Falls, October 26-28, 2016 - Canada, USA and Mexico

In October, representatives of the Organic Council of Ontario (OCO) attended the Tri-National Agricultural Accord in Niagara Falls. The Accord is an annual meeting of agricultural officials from Canada, Mexico and the United States. Agricultural leaders meet to discuss important trade and development-related priorities, supporting a higher level of understanding between neighbours and coordinated actions to address future risks and growth opportunities for the agricultural sector.

As part of our contribution to the meeting, OCO prepared this statement on organic equivalencies between Canada and Mexico.
