Ontario and Quebec Organic Dairy Farm Survey of Herd and Pasture Management Practices

If you are a Ontario or Québec organic dairy producer, researchers at the University of Guelph, Université Laval, McGill University, and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada would like to invite you to participate in a study examining Ontario and Québec organic dairy farm practices, cow health, milk quality, and pasture management strategies.

The overall objective of this study will be to provide a robust assessment of grazing systems in the organic dairy sector and assist in identifying appropriate forage mixes and grazing systems for pastures in Ontario and Québec that may improve plant resilience, pasture quality, and dairy cow health and productivity.

This study is funded by the Organic Science Cluster 4, Novalait, and Dairy Farmers of Ontario, with in-kind contributions from Lactanet, Organic Producers Advisory Committee, Agroenvirolab, and Organic Council of Ontario.

If you are interested in participating in the survey, please email PhD student Jessica St John at stjohnj@uoguelph.ca for more details.
