Supporting Membership

Supporting Members include input suppliers, producers, distributors, marketers, co-packers, retailers, food service, importers, consultants and/or certifying bodies who have significant business in the Ontario organic market. Producers and businesses who support organic, but are not certified, may join the Ontario Organic Directory by becoming a Supporting Member. Membership is subject to approval. If you are unsure whether your business is eligible, please contact us. Supporting Membership Fees by Annual Organic Sales: Under $100K = $100 + hst $100K – $500K = $250 + hst $500K – $1M = $650 + hst $1M – $5M = $1,350 + hst $5M – $10M = $2,000 + hst Over $10M = $3,250 + hst

Association Membership

Association Members are non-profits, charities or associations that want to support the organic sector in Ontario. This membership level gives you access to the same benefits as Supporting industry members: listing in the Ontario Organic Directory, 1 month featured listing in the directory, 1 free e-news and web classified ad, 1 social media spotlight per year, event discounts for up to 2 people per year, discounts with organic consultants, suppliers, and trade shows as well as advertising and promotional discounts. Association memberships cost $250 + hst.

Individual Membership

Individual Members are citizens, organic consumers, or stakeholders who want to support and help grow the Ontario organic sector. Individual Members benefit from membership communications and discounts at OCO events. You will not be listed in the directory. Individual memberships cost $50 + hst.

Leading Membership

Leading Members include businesses and associations who want to promote the growth of the entire organic sector, and enhance their own competitiveness with the benefits of an OCO Leading Membership. Typically, Leading Members who have sales in the organic sector will collect a voluntary check-off from their suppliers and customers (ex: a collection of 50% of the commodity fee and/or 0.1% of sales), and commit to matching supplier contributions. Alternative ways to contribute to a Leading Membership are negotiable; we will contact you directly upon receipt of your application to further discuss the opportunity. Membership is subject to approval.
